Can a person be reincarnated before they actually die? If you close your eyes and listen, you would swear it's Stevie Wonder in his younger years singing the songs. Alas it's not.
His name is James Morrison. He's my new music fetish. Give it a listen. The video will play automatically. How can you not dig on this?

And if you're anywhere near Austin on 3/16 or Los Angeles on 3/21, go and show him some love. Trust.

I'm not getting the the SW vibe, but he's definitely laying down an AWEsome blues rhythm.
I think I'm having a flashback to Beale Street...DamB, that must mean Memphis in May is rapidly approaching! *grin*
Kokomo introduced me to this guy recently because he's been jonesing on Corinne Bailey Rae...another superior Blues singer.
....Have I mentioned to you that we loooove the Blues?
I've often asked the same question about reincarnation, though I can't give examples now of why I think that. Damn.
If a person can be reincarnated before they die can I be Brad Pitt? Pleeeassseeee!? ;)
Steve~
6 days?! I hate you!
Dez - blues, soul...whatever it is, I'm diggin' it. Alot. Conversely, I'm not so much into CBR.
Bev - We all suffer brain farts occasionally. You're excused.
Steven - As long as we're dreaming here....
Starlet - I heart you, too. Ooh, HATE. I hate you, too. :)
Well, I can't say James Morrison is MY new fetish (heh! you know who THAT is), but I can say this:
1. I dig that song that his website opens up with.
2. I dig James Morrison's accent...it was kind of lilting, in a Beatles/Cockney way. And that's hot!
3. I'm sad I won't be in the Austin or LA areas any time soon. But I will look for him in my area!
4. When I'm done visiting blogs, I'm SOOOO heading over to iPod tunes and downloading some James Morrison tunes!
Thanks, CM!
James Morrison doesn't sound Cockney or like the Beatles! And I should know, having lived in Liverpool for most of my life!
He ain't bad... But not great ;)
See if you can find Elvis's reincarnation, while your at it.
Amy - He's very young, too. Like 23 or so. Amazing writing ability.
Jingo - We yanks can't tell - all we know is we like the sound of it.
Tfg - I'm not sure but I think I saw him working at a truck stop outside of Des Moines once. No need to find his reincarnation.
OOOO I really like that!
